Sweet Yam Mash

Mashed sweet potatoes with a touch of maple syrup, perfect for the holidays. Serves 6.

 


Ingredients:

  • 6 medium yams (peeled and diced)
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook sweet potatoes for twenty to thirty minutes, or until tender.
  2. Beat the potatoes with a hand mixer, gradually adding in the milk. Once smooth and fluffy, mix in butter and syrup, and beat until it reaches the desired consistency.
